Tamar's Turnaround (Story of Joseph #8)
Genesis 38 is an interesting chapter -- quite often seen as an "addition" to the story. It doesn't seem to fit. You can skip it and the flow of the text actually seems better! However, I believe Genesis 38 is actually the key to understanding how the entire story points to Christ. As we begin the chapter, I'll deal with two "modern-day" dilemmas first, and then I'll show the path from Genesis 38 to the cross at Calvary. Today, Tamar offers a great illustration of how a woman's clothing speaks volumes to men. Women, please consider your dress!
