“Sing for joy in the Lord, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright. Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy. For the word of the Lord is upright, And all His work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord.” Psalm 33:1-5
Today we begin “New Song September” here at Westside. During each Sunday morning worship service during the month of September, you will hear a new song sung and/or played at some point in the service. Listen closely, because the following Sunday, the same song will be sung at some point during congregational worship. All of these songs will come from my list of the top ten best worship CD’s currently available. This list will be revealed piece by piece throughout the month on our website, www.wsidebaptist.com along with a full review of each album. Hope you are ready to learn some great music this month!This morning’s new song is “I’m Singing” by singer/songwriter/worship leader Kari Jobe. This great song speaks great truth about the characteristics of God and the response of His creation to Him. As I often say, having a correct perspective on all God is and what very little we are without Him sets the appropriate stage for true worship. Take a minute to read these words as preparation for corporate worship.

Only one name lasts forever, Only one fame stands alone;
Only one King has an anthem That goes on and on and on.
And I'm singing to the God who brings redemption to the nations,Kings and oceans bow to Him in praise;And I'm singing to the God who wrote the book on our salvation,To the One who covers me in grace, I'm singing.
Only one word in the beginning, Only one truth will prevail;
Only one love brings a freedom, Only one Man took the nails.
And I'm singing to the God who brings redemption to the nations,Kings and oceans bow to Him in praise;And I'm singing to the God who wrote the book on our salvation,To the One who covers me in grace, I'm singing.
Praise, Praise to the Savior; Praise, to the Lamb Of God.
Praise, in all of His splendor; Praise, for saving my life.
And I'm singing to the God who brings redemption to the nations,Kings and oceans bow to Him in praise;And I'm singing to the God who wrote the book on our salvation,To the One who covers me in grace.
And I'm singing to the God who brings redemption to the nations,Kings and oceans bow to Him in praise;And I'm singing to the God who wrote the book on our salvation,To the One who covers me in grace, I'm singing.I’m singing. I’m singing.
