WESTSIDE WHISTLE V. 3 I. 16
BIBLE BYTE:
LUKE 1: 46 – 56:
MARY’S SONG:
46 And Mary said:
“My soul glorifies the Lord
47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has been mindful
Of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me –
holy is his name.
50 His mercy extends to those who fear him,
From generation to generation.
51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
He has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones
But has lifted up the humble.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things
But has sent the rich away empty.
54 He has helped his servant Israel,
Remembering to be merciful
55 to Abraham and his descendants forever
Just as he promised our ancestors.”

REMINDERS, NEWS, & EVENTS:
SERMONS UPDATED ON THE WEBSITE
You can listen to the sermons on our website at www.wsidebaptist.com under the [SERMONS] tab along the top of the menu bar. Plan to juin us at Westside Baptist as Brother J. T. will be starting a new sermon series in January 2011.
GREATER THINGS ARE HAPPENING:
Please join us Wednesday evenings starting @ 6:30PM at the Clarity Center for a time of focused prayer. Service projects and outreach activities often follow that you can participate in. If you can only stay for the prayer time, that is fine too. We do ask that you please enter quietly through the back door (the solid door straight across from the top of the ramp) in case there are clients still in the facility. This is to help protect their privacy and not disturb the workers at Clarity. THANK YOU.
WBC ANNUAL MEMBER’S MEETING for 2010:
Our annual WBC MEMBER’S MEETING is coming up on Sunday, December 19 following our regular Sunday morning Worship Service at the Pritchard Center. There will also be our usual pot luck lunch / holiday feast. We encourage all our members to attend and welcome our visitors to join us. Some agenda items include the induction of new members, the 2011 budget, revamping of the Home BIBLE Fellowship Study.
POTLUCK MEAL AND COOKIE SWAP:
The potluck meal that precedes the WBC annual members meeting is themed around a traditional Christmas feast for friends and family to share together. Paper goods are provided. Contact Nancy Shores for more information; she is the meal coordinator. Following the feast and meeting, there will also be a Christmas cookie swap, so bring plenty of your favorite cookies to share and trade.

WINTER WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY FOR WBC:
Our policy is to hold all our Sunday morning worship services as scheduled. Other evening activities are announced that Sunday morning. If an emergency comes up we try to contact you via phone, email, Facebook and website posting. Wednesday evening at Clarity follows Hardin County School cancelations.
TAKE TIME FOR THE TRUE MEANING OF THE CHRISTMAS SEASON:
If you are starting to feel stressed and life is moving too fast and it seems no one remembers what Christmas is really about, step back, open your BIBLE and read about Jesus and what He did. His birth changed the lives of every man, woman and child forever. Let His words comfort you and fill you with knowledge and peace. If that is still not enough, take time to pray and communicate with him. Jesus will comfort you, strengthen you and help you to understand the true reasons why we should celebrate at Christmas. Do not let yourself get lost in man’s trappings this time of year and let yourself find Christmas in your heart. - Robbie
