We will see how much from Joseph’s life can play a role in our lives and still impacts mankind today. Please feel welcome to join us Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM at the Pritchard Community Center as Brother J. T. leads us through our study of Joseph’s life. You will learn something new from man’s past as God build our future. GREATER THINGS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE WITH LITTLE STEPS:
Wednesday evenings, Westside Baptist is doing “GREATER THINGS” in our community. What are you doing Wednesday evenings? We are meeting at the Clarity Solutions Center located at 116 E. Memorial Drive in E-Town starting at 6:30 pm. We always have a time of prayer and then community service work to follow. The little projects and tasks we are performing to help the Clarity Center are making a difference for those that come there seeking assistance. We may not be able to move mountains, but every job we do to improve things for others is a blessing for both the recipient and the worker at the same time. We all have many talents and skills, so why not join us Wednesday evening and user your gifts God blessed you with for the betterment of our community. We hope to see you there.
WELCOME HOME TO OUR HOME BIBLE FELLOWSHIP:
Our small groups have merged into our Home BIBLE Fellowship. We have a time of fellowship with friends and family, a LITTLE (or a lot) of food, a time of prayer, and BIBLE study. Everyone is welcome as we know you will benefit by growing closer to your fellow Christian brothers and sisters at Westside Baptist. It is a blessing seeing Jim and Barbara Eastridge wanting to still host this in their home Sunday evenings starting at 6:00 PM. Their home is located at 1101 Kings Way, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. If you have not been involved in our small groups now it the time for you to give it a try; so come on over and give it a try this Sunday.

BUCKETS OF HOPE FOR HAITI RELIEF:
On the top of the www.wsidebatist.com website, you will currently find a tab at the top labeled HELP HAITI NOW! We can do this through the Buckets-of-HOPE project to help fill buckets full of basic food staples along with $10.00 to cover shipping of the filled buckets to HAITI. These buckets will help feel the stomachs of the many hungry Haitians, give them hope, and let them know that others do care about them after such a natural disaster. Please read the information given, and you can drop off your filled buckets at the Severns Valley Association offices on College Street now through March 4th, 2010.
FEBRUARY FOCUSES:
FEBRUARY is national women’s heart disease awareness month. This is often misunderstood by women and taken to be heart burn or a back pain, when in reality; it may be their heart calling out for help. Heart disease is the leading killer of women in America today. You can get more information and learn about your heart at http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/index.htm
February is also National Children’s Dental Health and Awareness month. You can learn more at www.ada.org/prof/events/featured/ncdhm.asp. You can learn how to teach your kids about dental care, find coloring sheets, or a dentist if you need on for your kids.
February is National Bird Feeding Month. You can learn more at www.birdfeeding.org. This is the perfect time to be feeding your feathered friends to keep them alive until the spring thaw and flowers bloom.
If you know of an event, concert, or item of interest you would like shared through this newsletter, please email it to Robbie Blair at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . I will do my best to get them in the next week’s newsletter for you.
IN CLOSING
Nearly all of us know can quote, and understand John 3:16 by heart, so why is it that so many people can reject this simple but important message and truth. The answers to the question at the top of the letter have really been left unanswerable by man for over 2,000 years, and will probably remain unanswered for another 2,000 plus years. Only God can and will fully answer them in His time frame. All we can do as Christians is to believe the words of John. We need to take them to heart and let John 3:16 truly be a part of our daily lives. Once you do that, it helps to make the share of the gospels or let alone the truth of this one verse to the lost around you each day especially since many saved and unsaved people know this verse. This one verse tells a huge story of sadness, death, hope live, and love. Can you say you would give the life of your son or daughter even if it would benefit all of us today and for every other person to be born here after? God loved us so much that He said yes to this. This caused His sinless son, Jesus to be crucified and sent to his death on a wooden cross for the sins of all mankind past, present, and future. This was not the ending, it is the beginning as we now know that Jesus rose again three day later and joined took his place at the right side of God where even today, Jesus is say forgive this person (if they have accepted Christ as lord and savior) or I did not know them because they do not know me. Through Christ death we have all been given the opportunity at having an eternal life all thanks to God’s love and forgiveness. But the only way a lost person will ever have this chance is if we are willing to share this hope and forgiveness to them by being willing to share the story of John 3:16 with them. Are you willing to do this? Are you willing to push yourself out of a comfort zone, and in return, you will see God’s kingdom grow. You will also see souls saved, lives changed for the better, and building and filling your crown in heaven. It does not take a program, a plan, or memorized guidelines to share the story of Jesus; it simply take a willing body to knock on doors, a church full or supporting prayer, a heart is willing, and a mouth that will communicate. God will present you with His divine appointments when He knows the heart, mind, body, and soul are all ready hear and accept the words that God wants you to deliver through His message of HOPE, LIFE, and LOVE. Be ready Christian brothers and sisters because you never know when God will be pulling you out of His toolbox and putting His divine instrument to work for Him.
Serving Our Savior,
Robert Blair,
Westside Baptist Church Elder
